![]() Musician: Mark Deutsch (United States) A professional musician since the age of twelve (classical and jazz), Mark Deutsch studied sitar and North Indian classical music with the legendary Ustad Imrat Khan, and began delving deeper into the universal fundamentals of music and their underlying frequency structures. These studies culminated in 1999 with Mark being awarded the US patent for his ground breaking new instrument the Bazantar. www.bazantar.com ![]() Lighting Designer: Laurent Béal (France) Laurent Béal has designed the lighting for some of the most important French directors, such as Pierre Mondy, Patrice Kerbrat, Michel Fagadau, Stéphane Hillel, Didier Long, Pierre Laville, and Patrice Leconte. He also worked with Gad Elmaleh et Fabrice Luchini. Nominated for the Best Lighting Designer Moliere Award 4 times (2001-2004), he designed Arts, Un petit jeu sans conséquence, Grosse Chaleur et Amadeus. Design: Sabin Anca @ State of Design (United Kindgom) Founded in 2000, State of Design specialises in high quality and innovative design: architecture, interior, theatrical and product design, multimedia publicity. It has been designing the sets and publicity for numerous productions: Classical Greek, Shakespeare, Calderon, Expressionist, Absurdist, Theatre of Cruelty. Website: www.stateofdesign.com. Costume Designer: Sophie Papiernik (France) A costume and fashion designer, Sophie has designed costumes for theatre (Les Caprices de Marianne, Daniel Mesguish, Théâtre du Rond-Point, Paris) and opera (The Silent Woman by Strauss, Alexandre Vassilief, National Opera of Marseille). She works for Gucci group PPR. Choregraphy & Mime: Marie-Pierre Lemort (France) In addition to an engineering degree, Marie-Pierre Lemort studied mime and classical dance at the École Internationale de Mimodrame Marcel Marceau. She also studied dramatic arts at the Cours Simon and contemporary dance. She has recently acted in Théâtre ambulant Chopalovitch by L. Silmovitch (directed by D. Colson) at the Théâtre Clavel, and in Dieu dit... at the Théâtre de la Plaine (Paris), a production of the Alambic company, of which she has been a member since 2002. Casting Director: Pia Sukanya (India) Pia has a wide range of experience in professional acting and singing. She has previously performed for over 5000 people in India and New York. She was acclaimed for her performance of Maria in West Side Story. Assistant Director: Marie-Carmen de Zaldo (France) With a Master in stage direction, Marie-Carmen directed projects at university Paris X in various styles, from the baroc tragedy of Alexandre Hardy to the poetic verses of the Japonese Sei Shônagon' The Pillow Book. Isabelle Stibbe (General Manager) After a Ph.D in Law (University Paris II-Sorbonne), Isabelle read lyric opera as a soprano at the Music School of Paris 5. She currently writes tales for children. Assistant Producer: Guillaume Clérice (France) Guillaume was publicity officer on Richard III in France. He also studies acting in Francine Walter's class. He played in One of the last evenings of carnaval (Goldoni), and in Much ado about nothing (Shakespeare), as Orlando. Literary Adviser: Michael Robinson (United States) Michael received a BA in Comparative Literature from Yale University and an M.Phil in European Literature at Cambridge. He directed Fin de Partie (in French) and Richard III. He now lives in Paris where he is writing his first book. He is also an Editor at Topic magazine. |
